Managing four properties remotely, particularly in a destination with connectivity limitations such as Fernando de Noronha, was a major challenge for the group of partners based in Florianópolis.
In the beginning, reservations and daily operations were handled manually through spreadsheets. This approach limited their ability to expand their presence on online travel agencies such as Booking.com and created operational bottlenecks that affected overall efficiency.
The group’s first property in Fernando de Noronha was Pousada Triângulo, which had only two rooms and was listed on just one OTA at the time.
According to businesswoman Elizandra Soares, being present on just one platform made it “easier to manage reservations in a spreadsheet without the risk of overbooking.” However, once they realized that expanding their presence on multiple OTAs could create operational challenges, the search for a more robust management system began.

“I do everything from Florianópolis. The management, which handles day-to-day operations, opens the system, and all the necessary information is there. I use the notes field a lot to leave indications and details of each reservation,” said Elizandra.
The ability to charge for reservations in advance, particularly those made through OTAs, was highlighted as a major improvement in financial control and cash flow management.
